Siaara Freeman finds joy in the strangest places, like exactly where she was not looking for it. She encourages this activity. She is a poet and has been published on multiple accounts including: Texas Borderline Review, Crab Fat, Balkan Press, Glass, UpTheStaircase Quarterly. She is a touring poet both nationally and internationally (including Canada, Costa Rica) and is going to Norway this summer. The founder of wusgood.black and an editor for Tinderbox Journal, she is a Pushcart Prize, Best American Poets 2016, and a 2017 Button Chapbook Finalist. She is a three year fellow of the Pink Door Women Writers of Color retreat.
